Harmony produced a work at our space called the Tale of Wasted Time – a production that engaged audiences of all ages.
Their work is energetic, humorous and brings stories of their homeland and culture to the stage.
It is a critical outlet for the Russian community and the larger Twin Cities community,
as evidenced by consistently full houses throughout the run of their show at the Center.
Elena Khalitov and the Company are hard working,
organized and highly motivated. They are courteous and wonderful to work with.
The multi-generational aspect of their company makes them a truly unique asset to the
Twin Cities’ artists community.

Istoki Club for Cultural Renaissance/Mekorot Congregation of Russian Jews has
recently worked with Harmony Theatre on the Purim Carnival,
a traditional celebration of Purim, one of the major Jewish holidays.
The carnival included a Purim play produced by Harmony Theatre and performed on March 4, 2007.
The crew of 20 people worked on this original bilingual play directed
by Elena Khalitov, with both children and adults performing onstage.
This keen drama intertwined popular Russian songs sung with new and funny lyrics.
The audience’s applause and laughter accompanied the whole performance.
Thanks to Harmony Theatre, the Russian-speaking community of Minneapolis had
an unforgettable Purim celebration this year.
Their unique collaboration of children and adult artists and their professional
approach to theatre productions appeal to audience members of all ages.
We look forward to working with Harmony Theatre on upcoming projects.

Harmony is a favorite place for many of our community members to come.
Everyone is welcomed there to participate in an amazing creative experience.
Harmony’s work is also educational and facilitates our children to become acquainted
with Russian cultural traditions, history and classical art.
I would like to recommend Elena Khalitov as a dedicated leader,
whose work with other professional artists, such as Jeremy Roth and Vasily Dyachuk, has always been and continues to be extraordinary and inspiring.

I really enjoyed attending your
open class on January 29. Besides getting a chance to see my daughter
and the other kids perform, I was impressed by your style which was
relaxed and encouraging while offering constructive criticism. It's very
difficult to make teenagers feel good while pointing out how they need
to improve, but you seemed able to bring the best out of these kids,
continually striving to push their talent while building their
confidence in the process.
